For many of life’s events, and how they can affect your benefits.
It’s important that we hold your correct details, so that we can keep in touch with you and process any claims when the time comes for you to take your pension benefits.
You can update your name on your MyPension account under ‘Update your details’. If you’re a current Partner, you can update your personal details on Workday and these will be passed on to XPS.

If you’re currently working for the Partnership, you’ll need to update your address via Workday.
In some circumstances, if you’re unable to work due to your health is stopping you from working, you may be able to take your pension earlier than age 55. If you currently work for the Partnership, you’ll need to discuss retiring on the grounds of ill-health with your manager.
If you no longer work for the Partnership, you can contact XPS to find out if you may be eligible for this.
Contact XPS by phone or email to notify them of a death. They’ll ask you to provide the Death Certificate. Once XPS receives this, they’ll contact you with further information and let you know if they need anything else. If relevant, they’ll check the beneficiary form and contact the next of kin to let them know their requirements. You’ll usually be asked if there’s a will or if anyone’s applied for a Grant of Probate.
We know this is a difficult time and it may take time to get all of the necessary paperwork together. XPS will support you through this process.
The Trustee will decide who would receive any benefits and will take into consideration your nominated beneficiaries before making a decision. It’s important to keep your nomination up to date if your circumstances change.
If you’re still working for the Partnership, please update your nomination in respect of your life assurance via Workday. You can find information and a guide on how to do this on Oneplace.
Please update your nomination in respect of your pension benefits on XPS’s secure online portal, MyPension under ‘Update your details’.
If you also have a DC pension, you can update your nominations on your MyPension account.
You’re likely to be a member of the DB Section of the Scheme if you worked at the Partnership before 1 April 2015. XPS is the administrator of the DB Section.
The DB Section closed on 1 April 2020 and therefore members who joined the Partnership after 1 April 2015 will only have a Defined Contribution pension pot.
This is where you can find information about your current pension if you’re a Partner now, or were a Partner after 1 April 2015. The Defined Contribution pages are probably the most important for you.
Members who joined the Partnership before 1 April 2015 may also hold DC pension pots with Prudential or Legal and General, as well as a Defined Benefit Pension in the Scheme. We previously referred to this as Hybrid or Dual Benefit. This is because you may have joined the DC Section of the Scheme when you started working at the Partnership and then, after a defined waiting period (which depends on the date you joined the Partnership), you would have become eligible to join the DB Section.
